The Interlocking system ensures that out of the N number of doors locked by an interlocking controller, only one door at a time will open and other doors remain closed even if a request is placed to open any one of them. This effectively warrants air passing through and minimizes microbiological and particulate contamination of the Air locked area and restricts unwanted passage from one area to another.

Door Interlocking Unit

Working: 

  • At the default stage all doors connected to the unit are closed & locked. The Rex switches on all the doors indicate the status as “Locked”.
  • The user approaches the door and presses the REX Switch (Request to exit). The indicator status on that particular door changes to “GO” and the door is unlocked for the user to pass. Simultaneously the indicator status on all the other door changes to “WAIT”. Now a request placed by any other user on any other door indicating WAIT, will be declined.
  • After 5 sec (or whatever time programmed), the unlocked door also gets locked and the interlocking system is resumed to default stage ready for use.
